Bible Verses on Jesus as God
Jesus is God
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was
with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with
God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing
was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the
light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the
darkness did not comprehend it. — John 1:1-5
But Jesus answered them, “My Father has been
working until now, and I have been working.” Therefore the Jews
sought all the more to kill Him, because He not only broke the
Sabbath, but also said that God was His Father, making Himself
equal with God. — John 5:17-18
For as the Father raises the dead and gives
life to them, even so the Son gives life to whom He will.
For the Father judges no one, but has committed all judgment to
the Son, that all should honor the Son just as they honor the
Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father
who sent Him. — John 5:21-23
Your father Abraham rejoiced to see My day, and
he saw it and was glad.” Then the Jews said to Him, “You are not
yet fifty years old, and have You seen Abraham?” Jesus said to
them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.”
Then they took up stones to throw at Him; but Jesus hid Himself
and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and
so passed by. —

But He kept silent and answered nothing. Again
the high priest asked Him, saying to Him, “Are You the Christ,
the Son of the Blessed?” Jesus said, “I am. And you will see the
Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Power, and coming
with the clouds of heaven.” — Mark 14:61-62
I and My Father are one.” Then the Jews took up
stones again to stone Him. Jesus answered them, “Many good works
I have shown you from My Father. For which of those works do you
stone Me?” The Jews answered Him, saying, “For a good work we do
not stone You, but for blasphemy, and because You, being a Man,
make Yourself God.” Jesus answered them, “Is it not written in
your law, ‘I said, “You are gods”’? If He called them gods, to
whom the word of God came (and the Scripture cannot be broken),
do you say of Him whom the Father sanctified and sent into the
world, ‘You are blaspheming,’ because I said, ‘I am the Son of
God’? If I do not do the works of My Father, do not believe Me;
but if I do, though you do not believe Me, believe the works,
that you may know and believe that the Father is in Me, and I in
Him.” — John 10:30-38
“I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning
and the End,” says the Lord, “who is and who was and who is to
come, the Almighty.” — Revelation 1:8

the End, the First and the Last.” Blessed are those who do His
commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life,

have sent My angel to testify to you these things in the
churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, the Bright
and Morning Star.” — Revelation 22:13-16

giving thanks to the Father who has qualified
us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the
light. He has delivered us from the power of darkness and
conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we
have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins. He
is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all
creation. For by Him all things were created that are in heaven
and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or
dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created
through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him
all things consist. And He is the head of the body, the church,
who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all
things He may have the preeminence. For it pleased the Father
that in Him all the fullness should dwell, and by Him to
reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth
or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His
cross. — Colossians 1:12-20

Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it

taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of
men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself
and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the
cross. Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him
the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus
every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on
earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue
should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God
the Father. — Philippians 2:5-11

began to reason, saying, “Who is this who speaks blasphemies?

their thoughts, He answered and said to them, “Why are you
reasoning in your hearts? Which is easier, to say, ‘Your sins
are forgiven you,’ or to say, ‘Rise up and walk’? But that you
may know that the Son of Man has power on earth to forgive
sins”—He said to the man who was paralyzed, “I say to you,
arise, take up your bed, and go to your house.” Immediately he
rose up before them, took up what he had been lying on, and

Let this mind be in you which was also in
Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it
robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation,
taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the
