Our Children...

Worship is an important part of our children's ministry. We put a lot of emphasis on training your children. From the nursery through sixth grade, we supplement the parental role of "training a child in the way he should go" by providing loving care, captivating lessons, and special activities. We model and help our children learn the value of living a well-balanced Christian life. Each child is taught to enjoy a personal relationship with Jesus with the joy of expressive worship.

Children love the Bible lessons!Children love to enjoy life. Fun times where they can enjoy relationship with others, group activities, puppets, and exciting surroundings are all part of the child-friendly atmosphere for Life Kids.

Children are very important to Jesus and to us! In addition to their spiritual well-being, we are also very interested in your children’s physical and emotional well-being. We ask that you personally drop off and pick up your children in the appropriate location. The sign-in and sign-out procedures consume a little extra time—but are well worth the effort to insure the safety of all.

Sundays at 8:45 AM

Children up through grade 4 meet in the 2-year old room (South Building). Older children attend the adult service with their parents. We recommend that parents with children between the ages of 5 and 12 attend the 10:30 AM service so that their children can enjoy age-appropriate classes available then (see the next paragraph).

Sundays at 10:30 AM

We have several age-appropriate classes for children up through the sixth grade during our 10:30 AM service.   (See the Age Groupings page for age ranges for each group.)

Nurseries

Nurseries are provided in the South Complex for children from 0 through 2 years old. They meet in the following rooms: Infants, 1-Year Olds, 2-Year olds.

Life Kids

The Life Kids department in the Life Kids Building is for children from ages 3 (if potty trained) through grade 4. Individual rooms are designed to appropriately address the learning needs of children as follows: 3-Year Olds, 4-Year Olds, Stadium 1 (5 years old through kindergarten), Stadium 2 (grades 1-2, and Stadium 3 (grades 3-4).

Typical activities include games, video games, active singing (praise and worship), a Bible lesson, puppets, and skits. Children are taught biblical principles with applications appropriate for their ages. Emphasis is placed on each child developing a personal, loving relationship with Jesus that motivates them to develop godly character.

Str8-Up (Straight Up)

Str8-Up is for children in grades 5-6. TOn Sundays, the Str8-Up group meets with the adults for praise and worship during our 10:30 AM service. Then they move to the Str8-Up building to learn biblical principles with applications to help in their world. Emphasis is placed on each child developing a personal, loving relationship with Jesus resulting in an outworking of biblical principles into his or her day-to-day life.

Wednesdays at 6:15

Games and food at Str8-Up.

Wednesdays are a great time for kids at Life Church! The age groupings and locations are the same as for the Sunday 10:30 AM service described above.

Each age group has a free meal, lots of fun and excitement, a dynamic worship time, and an age-appropriate Bible lesson.
