There
aren't many people around you who understand the pain your divorce
or separation has caused you, your family, and your friends.
That's the reason
for DivorceCare. It's a 13-week series of support groups and
seminars conducted by people who understand what you are
experiencing. Most importantly, you will learn how to deal with
the pain of the past and look forward to rebuilding your
life.
DivorceCare
is nondenominational and features biblical teaching for recovering
from divorce and separation.
At DivorceCare,
you will become part of a small support group of people who are
also experiencing separation and divorce. By interacting with
these people, you'll learn there are others who understand what
you are feeling and will be able to offer you encouragement.
You'll also have a chance to talk about the information presented
during the seminar. Many participants say these support groups are
the most helpful part of the program.
DivorceCare and DC4K runs
each Thursday at 7:00 PM beginning
February 16, 2012, through May 17, 2012.
Meetings are located in the
Life Kids Building on
the west side of the campus at Life
Foursquare Church.

Comments from Kids Who Attended
DC4K...
When I was 10 months old my father left our
family. It was hard for me because I didn’t have any memory of
him. I felt sad that there was not a man in our family. My
mother had to work so hard to provide for me and my sisters that
we rarely got to see her. When I was 5 a man married my
mother. He loved us more than anything but I refused to accept
him, so my mom took me to DC4K. While I was in DC4K, Ms.
Theresa, Ms. Cynthia, and Mr. Matt taught me how to control my
anger and accept my new Dad. Ever since DC4K I have had a good
relationship with my step-dad and am working on controlling my
anger better. I am happy my mother put me in DC4K because it has
changed my life. -- J
DC4K has helped me with my anger. [That] has
helped me with having a happy life. It has also helped me with
my love. Love was and is a very important thing in my life. It’s
also helped me with my hard problems in life. I’ve learned about
all the words of God. But most of all I’ve learned how to handle
the divorce of my parents. I say thank you to Matt and Cynthia
for helping me understand everything that I need to know about
divorce. -- N
