On the outside she’s “Mandy,” pastor of the Life Kids ministry that all the children love! She’s all smiles and hugs, fresh ideas and “can do” attitude in a fairy princess package. The fruit of her imaginative, passionate, ministry to our kids is that in just two years the children’s group has soared in attendance to more than 200 K-6^th graders coming each week! Life Kids beg their parents to bring them to church, and they don’t forget to invite their friends! They love being here! This past year we’ve had to add a twelve thousand square foot building for the 4-9 year olds just to keep up with her vision for reaching children with the gospel! Last year 50% of the several hundred salvations at Life came from her department!

But behind those jet black curls and sparkling green eyes, there is – true to her name – a storm raging! “Stormy” knows that life can be a turbulent mess without Jesus at the center! Her experience has taught her well how important it is to receive Jesus as Savior and then go on to make Him Lord of your life. That message is communicated passionately to the children she loves and to the adults who serve them with her! She knows how to communicate and counsel them in “the way they should go.” She knows how to organize and initiate ways for them to grow. And with certainty, she knows how to go to war on behalf of the children; praying and utilizing her weapons in spiritual warfare!

Mandy is a Texas born, bred and educated addition to the Life Staff. Graduating from Columbia High School and then Brazosport College, Mandy now lives in Angleton. One of her favorite things to do is hang out with her wonder-kid, Kelsey. Of course, she also likes shopping and laughing… hanging out with friends… just about anything outdoors… amusement parks… abstract art… But her most favorite thing of all is the thing that makes her so good at everything else she does – she loves growing in God!
