Approaching God
Hebrews 10:19-22 — Therefore, brethren, having boldness
to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living
way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His
flesh, and having a High Priest over the house of God,
let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith,
having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our
bodies washed with pure water.
Hebrews 4:13-16 — And there is no creature hidden from
His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes
of Him to whom we must give account. Seeing then that we
have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens,
Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession.
For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our
weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are,
yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the
throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help
in time of need.
Ephesians 2:13-18 — But now in Christ Jesus you who once
were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. For
He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken
down the middle wall of separation, having abolished in His
flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments
contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new
man from the two, thus making peace, and that He
might reconcile them both to God in one body through the cross,
thereby putting to death the enmity. And He came and preached
peace to you who were afar off and to those who were near. For
through Him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father.
Ephesians 3:11-12 — according to the eternal purpose
which He accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord, in whom we have
boldness and access with confidence through faith in Him.
Psalm 24:3-4 — Who may ascend into the hill of the
Lord? Or who may
stand in His holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure
heart, Who has not lifted up his soul to an idol, Nor sworn
deceitfully.
Jeremiah 30:21-22 — Their nobles shall be from among
them, And their governor shall come from their midst; Then I
will cause him to draw near, And he shall approach Me; For who
is this who pledged his heart to approach Me?’ says the
Lord. ‘You shall be
My people, And I will be your God.’ ”
