Depression
Psalm 34:17-19 — The righteous cry out, and the
Lord hears, And
delivers them out of all their troubles. The
Lord is
near to those who have a broken heart, And saves such as have a
contrite spirit. Many are the afflictions of the
righteous, But the Lord
delivers him out of them all.
2 Thessalonians 2:16-17 — Now may our Lord Jesus Christ
Himself, and our God and Father, who has loved us and given
us everlasting consolation and good hope by grace, comfort
your hearts and establish you in every good word and work.
2 Corinthians 1:8-10 — For we do not want you to be
ignorant, brethren, of our trouble which came to us in Asia:
that we were burdened beyond measure, above strength, so that we
despaired even of life. Yes, we had the sentence of death in
ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves but in God who
raises the dead, who delivered us from so great a death, and
does deliver us; in whom we trust that He will still deliver
us,
2 Corinthians 7:5-6 — For indeed, when we came to
Macedonia, our bodies had no rest, but we were troubled on every
side. Outside were conflicts, inside were fears.
Nevertheless God, who comforts the downcast, comforted us by the
coming of Titus,
