Hope
Psalm 42:5 — Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why
are you disquieted within me? Hope in God, for I shall yet
praise Him For the help of His countenance.
Romans 15:4-5 — For whatever things were written before
were written for our learning, that we through the patience and
comfort of the Scriptures might have hope. Now may the God of
patience and comfort grant you to be like-minded toward one
another, according to Christ Jesus,
Romans 15:13 — Now may the God of hope fill you with all
joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the
power of the Holy Spirit.
Proverbs 13:12 — Hope deferred makes the heart sick, But
when the desire comes, it is a tree of life.
1 Timothy 1:1 — Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ, by the
commandment of God our Savior and the Lord Jesus Christ, our
hope,
Jeremiah 29:11 — For I know the thoughts that I think
toward you, says the Lord,
thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a
hope.
2 Thessalonians 2:16-17 — Now may our Lord Jesus Christ
Himself, and our God and Father, who has loved us and given
us everlasting consolation and good hope by grace, comfort
your hearts and establish you in every good word and work.
Psalm 31:24 — Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen
your heart, All you who hope in the
Lord.
Psalm 42:11 — Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why
are you disquieted within me? Hope in God; For I shall yet
praise Him, The help of my countenance and my God.
Psalm 43:5 — Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why
are you disquieted within me? Hope in God; For I shall yet
praise Him, The help of my countenance and my God.
Psalm 146:5 — Happy is he who has the God
of Jacob for his help, Whose hope is in the
Lord his God,

when the desire comes, it is a tree of life.
Jeremiah 17:7 — “Blessed is the man who trusts in
the Lord, And
whose hope is the Lord.
Acts 23:6 — But when Paul perceived that one part were
Sadducees and the other Pharisees, he cried out in the council,
“Men and brethren, I am a Pharisee, the son of a
Pharisee; concerning the hope and resurrection of the dead I am
being judged!”
Acts 24:14-15 — But this I confess to you, that according
to the Way which they call a sect, so I worship the God of my
fathers, believing all things which are written in the Law and
in the Prophets. I have hope in God, which they themselves also
accept, that there will be a resurrection of the dead,
both of the just and the unjust.
Acts 26:6-8 — And now I stand and am judged for the hope
of the promise made by God to our fathers. To this promise
our twelve tribes, earnestly serving God night and day,
hope to attain. For this hope’s sake, King Agrippa, I am accused
by the Jews. Why should it be thought incredible by you that God
raises the dead?
Romans 5:2-5 — through whom also we have access by faith
into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the
glory of God. And not only that, but we also glory in
tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance;
and perseverance, character; and character, hope. Now hope does
not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in
our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
Romans 8:24-25 — For we were saved in this hope, but hope
that is seen is not hope; for why does one still hope for what
he sees? But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait
for it with perseverance.
1 Corinthians 9:24-27 — Do you not know that those who
run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a
way that you may obtain it. And everyone who competes
for the prize is temperate in all things. Now they do it
to obtain a perishable crown, but we for an imperishable
crown. Therefore I run thus: not with uncertainty. Thus I
fight: not as one who beats the air. But I discipline my
body and bring it into subjection, lest, when I have
preached to others, I myself should become disqualified.
1 Corinthians 13:13 — And now abide faith, hope, love,
these three; but the greatest of these is love.
1 Corinthians 15:19 — If in this life only we have hope
in Christ, we are of all men the most pitiable.
Ephesians 4:4 — There is one body and one Spirit,
just as you were called in one hope of your calling;
Colossians 1:4-5 — since we heard of your faith in Christ
Jesus and of your love for all the saints; because of the hope
which is laid up for you in heaven, of which you heard before in
the word of the truth of the gospel,
Colossians 1:23 — if indeed you continue in the faith,
grounded and steadfast, and are not moved away from the hope of
the gospel which you heard, which was preached to every creature
under heaven, of which I, Paul, became a minister.
Colossians 1:27 — To them God willed to make known what
are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles:
which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
1 Thessalonians 1:3 — remembering without ceasing your
work of faith, labor of love, and patience of hope in our Lord
Jesus Christ in the sight of our God and Father,
1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 — But I do not want you to be
ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep,
lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. For if we believe
that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him
those who sleep in Jesus. For this we say to you by the word of
the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the
coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are
asleep. For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a
shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of
God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are
alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in
the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always
be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these
words.
1 Thessalonians 5:8 — But let us who are of the day be
sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as
a helmet the hope of salvation.
1 Timothy 6:17 — Command those who are rich in this
present age not to be haughty, nor to trust in uncertain riches
but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy.
Titus 1:2 — in hope of eternal life which God, who cannot
lie, promised before time began,
Titus 2:11-15 — For the grace of God that brings
salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying
ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly,
righteously, and godly in the present age, looking for the
blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior
Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us
from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own
special people, zealous for good works. Speak these things,
exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no one despise you.
Titus 3:7 — that having been justified by His grace we
should become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
Hebrews 3:6 — but Christ as a Son over His own house,
whose house we are if we hold fast the confidence and the
rejoicing of the hope firm to the end.
Hebrews 6:10-12 — For God is not unjust to forget
your work and labor of love which you have shown toward His
name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do
minister. And we desire that each one of you show the same
diligence to the full assurance of hope until the end, that you
do not become sluggish, but imitate those who through faith and
patience inherit the promises.
Hebrews 6:18-19 — that by two immutable things, in which
it is impossible for God to lie, we might have strong
consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold of the hope
set before us. This hope we have as an anchor of
the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence
behind the veil,
Hebrews 11:1 — Now faith is the substance of things hoped
for, the evidence of things not seen.
Hebrews 11:13-16 — These all died in faith, not having
received the promises, but having seen them afar off were
assured of them, embraced them and confessed that they
were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. For those who say such
things declare plainly that they seek a homeland. And truly if
they had called to mind that country from which they had
come out, they would have had opportunity to return. But now
they desire a better, that is, a heavenly country.
Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for He has
prepared a city for them.
Hebrews 12:1-3 — Therefore we also, since we are
surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside
every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us,
and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us,
looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith,
who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross,
despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the
throne of God. For consider Him who endured such hostility from
sinners against Himself, lest you become weary and discouraged
in your souls.
1 Peter 1:3 — Blessed be the God and Father of our
Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has

and fear;

it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that
when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him
as He is. And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies
himself, just as He is pure.
