Repent
Matthew 3:2 — and saying, “Repent, for the kingdom of
heaven is at hand!”
Matthew 4:17 — From that time Jesus began to preach and
to say, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”
Mark 1:14-15 — Now after John was put in prison, Jesus
came to Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, and
saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at
hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.”
Mark 6:12 — So they went out and preached that people
should repent.
Luke 13:3-5 — I tell you, no; but unless you repent you
will all likewise perish. Or those eighteen on whom the tower in
Siloam fell and killed them, do you think that they were worse
sinners than all other men who dwelt in Jerusalem? I tell
you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish.”
Luke 15:7 — I say to you that likewise there will be more
joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine
just persons who need no repentance.
Luke 15:10 — Likewise, I say to you, there is joy in the
presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.”
Luke 16:29-31 — Abraham said to him, ‘They have Moses and
the prophets; let them hear them.’ And he said, ‘No, father
Abraham; but if one goes to them from the dead, they will
repent.’ But he said to him, ‘If they do not hear Moses and the
prophets, neither will they be persuaded though one rise from
the dead.’ ”
Luke 24:47 — and that repentance and remission of sins
should be preached in His name to all nations, beginning at
Jerusalem.
Acts 2:38 — Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let
every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the
remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy
Spirit.
Acts 3:19 — Repent therefore and be converted, that your
sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come
from the presence of the Lord,
Acts 11:18 — When they heard these things they became
silent; and they glorified God, saying, “Then God has also
granted to the Gentiles repentance to life.”
Acts 17:30 — Truly, these times of ignorance God
overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent,
Acts 20:21 — testifying to Jews, and also to Greeks,
repentance toward God and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.
Romans 2:4 — Or do you despise the riches of His
goodness, forbearance, and longsuffering, not knowing that the
goodness of God leads you to repentance?
2 Corinthians 7:9-10 — Now I rejoice, not that you were
made sorry, but that your sorrow led to repentance. For you were
made sorry in a godly manner, that you might suffer loss from us
in nothing. For godly sorrow produces repentance leading
to salvation, not to be regretted; but the sorrow of the world
produces death.
Hebrews 12:17 — For you know that afterward, when he
wanted to inherit the blessing, he was rejected, for he found no
place for repentance, though he sought it diligently with tears.
2 Peter 3:9 — The Lord is not slack concerning His
promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward
us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come
to repentance.
Revelation 3:19 — As many as I love, I rebuke and
chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent.
Ezekiel 14:6 — “Therefore say to the house of Israel,
‘Thus says the Lord God:
“Repent, turn away from your idols, and turn your faces away
from all your abominations.
Ezekiel 18:30 — “Therefore I will judge you, O house of
Israel, every one according to his ways,” says the Lord
God. “Repent, and
turn from all your transgressions, so that iniquity will not be
your ruin.
